From the President

In 1916, to celebrate his own 50th birthday, Abraham C Ratshesky endowed this foundation to serve the Boston Community. The world is a different place today than it was in 1916, but many of the core problems that influenced his desire to establish the foundation persist, intolerance and systemic discrimination among them.

As president of the board of trustees, I hope to support the foundation’s ongoing commitment to the Jewish tradition of tikkun olam (repairing the world). Through our core funding areas of family partnering in early education, employment and self-sufficiency, and active learning, we seek to provide resources that enable communities to flourish.

Best wishes,

Rebecca Morse Steinfield, President
